Our History and Milestones
Founded in Istanbul in 1982, Dega Demir began its journey with wire production and has since evolved into an integrated manufacturer specialised in fasteners and welding wires. Below you can find the key milestones along this journey.
2020
The third 100% sorting device was integrated into the production line,
further enhancing the zero-defect manufacturing approach.
2019
A new annex building and product storage area were completed and opened for operational use.
2017
The fastener production line was completed, achieving the capacity to manufacture bolts and
screws of all property classes up to 300 mm in length.
2013
Obtained IATF 16949 Quality Management System certification.
2012
Commissioned a new warehouse and dispatch infrastructure operating with a barcode system.
2010
Brought into operation an integrated in-house tool shop where all dies are designed and
manufactured.
2009
The first fully automated surface coating machine was integrated into the production line.
2008
The second production facility with 20,000 m² of indoor space was commissioned.
2005
Obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification and completed the first export shipment.
2004
Commenced the production of bolts and screws in the fastener manufacturing segment.
1997
High-carbon wire was added to the product range.
1995
Carbon wire and stitching wire were introduced to the product portfolio.
1982
The first production facility was established in Istanbul for manufacturing zinc- and
copper-coated wire.
