Founded in 1982 in Istanbul with wire production, Dega Demir has evolved into an integrated manufacturing ecosystem specialising in fasteners and welding wires. Since day one, our focus has been to understand the real needs of industry and deliver their technical counterparts.

We manage the entire process in-house at our facilities with 25,000 m² of production space and 10,000 m² of warehousing in Istanbul: wire preparation, annealing and phosphate coating, cold forming, secondary operations (auto-lathe/CNC, drilling, slotting, grinding), thread rolling, heat treatment, fully automated surface coating, packaging, and—on request—100% sorting. With our in-house toolroom and process engineering, we achieve rapid ramp-up and high repeatability.

Our product portfolio covers bolts, screws, rivets and custom parts to customer drawings, as well as copper-coated MAG welding wires (SG1–SG3). In fasteners, we produce within the Ø4–Ø30 mm diameter and 10–300 mm length range, offering project-specific material and coating alternatives. For welding wires, we target consistent arc performance through end-to-end process control and suitable packaging options (spool/drum).

For us, quality is not a final check but a discipline embedded throughout the process. Our laboratory capabilities include tensile and hardness testing, coating thickness and corrosion resistance, and metallographic examination; these are supported by full traceability and SPC. We underpin our integrated management approach with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949.

We provide both standard and project-based solutions to sectors such as automotive, construction, machinery, furniture, energy and metal goods. As a manufacturer that also produces its own semi-finished inputs, we manage quality from within—not from outside. From Past to Present

2020

The third 100% sorting device was integrated into the production line, further enhancing the zero-defect manufacturing approach.

2019

A new annex building and product storage area were completed and opened for operational use.

2017

The fastener production line was completed, achieving the capability to manufacture bolts and screws up to 300 mm in length across all quality grades.

2013

Obtained the IATF 16949 Quality Management System certification.

2012

Established a new warehouse and dispatch infrastructure operating with a barcode system.

2010

An integrated tool workshop was commissioned where all dies are designed and manufactured in-house.

2009

The first fully automated surface coating machine was integrated into the production line.

2008

The second production facility with 20,000 m² of indoor space was commissioned.

2005

Obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification and completed the first export shipment.

2004

Commenced the production of bolts and screws in the fastener manufacturing segment.
