New Coating Line Commissioned: Capacity, Lead Time and Quality
By bringing our new coating line online, we increased capacity while reducing variability in surface quality. The line merges degreasing, pickling, multi-stage rinsing, activation, plating and passivation in a single flow. This allows temperature, current, time and chemical concentrations to be monitored in real time from one screen.
Repeatability and traceability are core priorities in our operations. Thanks to the lot-based record structure, every tank a part passes through and each critical process parameter is logged. When limits are exceeded, the system alerts the operator and triggers the necessary stop and corrective actions.
Balancing cycle times on the line and reducing setup losses have significantly shortened overall lead times. Shipment planning has become more predictable, and because the need to merge lots has decreased, internal logistics waiting times have also dropped.
We are also seeing measurable results on quality and environment. Because chemical consumption is tracked online, renewal and discharge decisions are based on real data; this improves both coating consistency and environmental impact. Our processes run in full alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 management systems.
